For a shop, a clinic, a restaurant, an agency or a hotel, a large part of customers arrive through local search: “near me”, “in Casablanca”, “open now”. Google answers with the map and three business listings. Being among them changes everything.
1. Perfect your Google Business Profile
- Exact, identical name, address and phone number everywhere.
- Well-chosen primary category and relevant secondary categories.
- Up-to-date opening hours, including public holidays.
- Real photos of the premises, products and team.
- A clear description of your business, without keyword stuffing.
2. Manage reviews
Ask satisfied customers for reviews and reply to every one, including negative ones, calmly and precisely. Volume, rating and regularity all count.
3. Post regularly
News, offers, events: posts show that the business is active.
4. Create local pages
One page per city or service, with genuinely useful content: directions, local specifics, frequent questions. Avoid copy-pasted pages from one city to the next.
5. Stay consistent everywhere
The same information on your site, social networks, directories and maps. Inconsistencies weaken trust.
6. Measure from several points
Your position on Google Maps changes with where the searcher is. A position grid, measured from several neighbourhoods, shows how far your visibility really reaches.
